We’re told that technology will make things easier for us.
So why do we spend so much time fighting our gadgets? Trying to get email accounts set up, looking for lost passwords, struggling to set up ‘smart’ phones and wading through the complexities of the very gear that is supposed to IMPROVE our lives?
Now, I’m a fairly techie guy, and I know how to set up a router, build a database and defragment my hard drive.
But my job is running a branding agency, making websites and creating killer marketing material. I was spending too much time tussling with tech, and not enough dealing with design.
So I gave up.
Really, I just stopped doing it.
I truly believe that people should play to their strengths, so last year I looked for (and found!) an I.T. support company I could really trust. I won’t pretend it was easy for me to hand over systems I’d taken 20 years putting together, and it didn’t happen overnight, but Oxford Home IT Support are brilliant, and they do it all better and faster than me. Now they look after everything at Clear & Creative – including our networks, our web hosting and our telephone system (a superb VOIP system that does things I didn’t even know you could do, and doesn’t even need phones!).
I loved everything about this firm.
Except their brand name.
And their branding.
I recommend them to everyone I know (which is why you’re reading this), but I always had to say, “Ignore the brand name – they really are brilliant…”. Their name and marketing materials gave the impression that they were going to come round and fix your Nan’s PC, when in reality they are the answer to every small business’ prayers!
So earlier this year when they finally allowed us to overhaul their branding I was overjoyed!
Now I can recommend them to you without reservation. They have saved me a great deal of time and money, and they will do the same for you.
They used to be called ‘Oxford Home IT Solutions’
